What is blogging anyway?

I asked my friend of many years what it was and she said "You must do it if you're going to be a successful author." Then she tried to explain it to me. Yes, I don't mind admitting that I'm in the Ice Age with technology. I'm coming into the knowledge of it slowly, and I'm not ashamed. I'm a simple girl. Coming out to "perform spoken word" was such a major change in my life. Now my new challenge is "blogging." So here I go. More to come. Just give me a minute to figure some of this out.
